IMAGINE A WORLD THAT ADJUSTS TO YOU

SIMIAN (simulation intelligent adaptivity network) is a group of scientists who share an interest in measuring cognitive load. Based within Queen's University, we are a team that includes engineers, doctors, and cognitive psychologists. We imagine a future with highly realistic training platforms that adapt to the mental effort of the learner. Harnessing emerging technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, augmented reality and physiologic monitors, we are are developing practical training solutions for the challenges of roles that are complex, dynamic, and require tremendous cognitive load.

Applying AI analysis to physiologic metrics such as:

  • Heart rate
  • Galvanic skin response
  • EEG
  • Gaze behaviour
  • Pupillometry
  • Axial motion
  • Speech prosody
